I come from four generations of farmers. I first started selling sweet corn with my brother in the summers as young children. Nothing beats the farm life. I watched my grandparents and parents create beautiful gardens each year. They shared the fruits of their labor with friends and family. We were brought up to give homemade and homegrown gifts to those we cared for.

I moved into adulthood and traveled as a nurse. During this time, I experienced various farmer’s markets. These visits allowed me to purchase local goods and produce. Visiting farmer’s markets was a way I felt back at home and related to my roots as a farm kid. I have always baked for friends and colleagues and even moved into selling my baked goods. As I immersed my self into my community, I found there were many others in the exact same boat. Many artisans and farmers are trying to find ways to sell their goods to the local community (farmer’s markets, Facebook, special events, etc). It is not easy out there to promote your home made and home grown goods.

I developed the Artisan Farmers Market so that people of like mind can come together to share their hard-work and provide their community with healthier unique, and creative options. There is nothing better than sinking your teeth into a fresh baked good, biting into sun filled produce or admiring the beauty of a handcrafted artisan product.
